Your logo is often the first impression you make on potential galleries and patrons. So it's really important that it says what you want it to about you and your work. That's not as difficult as it may seem, but there are a few tried and true essentials that you need to be aware of in designing your own.
If you are thinking about designing your logo, or would like to update your existing one, I will demonstrate some simple strategies for creating a successful logo that will help take the mystery out of how to go about it.
As a graphic artist, I designed many logos. This will focus on layout and design, choosing a typeface and ways to customize it, introducing graphics besides a font and how to put it all together so it looks good on everything from a small black and white ad to a billboard! As my most of my design work was done pre-computer, no computer skills are necessary. This is all about what to do. How you choose to execute it is up to you.
