EBSQ: Art Meets Blog
News from the Self-Representing Artists Community
EBSQ: *MOSTLY* back online
The good news is for people who currently have images already hosted; your pictures are already showing up again. The bad news for everyone else is that our email is still down, and the site in general is acting very *sluggish* in general. We're going to continue to work with our ISP to resolve these issues.

We may still occassionally see periodic up/down time, particularly if a fix requires a reboot. But this should pretty much be the end of the long wait.

I want to thank you all for your kind words and patience during this time. It is truly beyond appreciated.

Please spread the word, since we currently can't do a mailing to let people know that services have been restored.

Still Nothing!

Been waiting patiently to log on to EBSQ All day Saturday, Sunday and now all of today and still nothing but "this page can not be displayed". I checked with my local provider and he says it has something to do with EBSQs site. I realize you have been down but now I've heard people are able to go to the site now. Have ALL of my Ebay images etc. at your site and really like your template etc, don't want to have to move it all. Please help. Have recyled my modem numerous times. Any clues? Blenda

Re: Still Nothing!

We are in fact back up, and have been since around noon or so Eastern Time today (Monday). What browser are you using? Perhaps EBSQ images are being blocked on your end somewhere?

Hi Gillie

That's certainly possible, since our machines physically moved, and have new IP addresses, and it takes a while for the internet to catch up. For example, my brother-in-law was able to access the site before I was!

If you're still experiencing problems tomorrow, definitely let us know. But rest assured that most folks out there should be able to see your hosted images again.

Ebsq down????

I have all my pictures back up, and everything seems fine. Till I try to set up an auction. The image hosting is not letting my pictures down load to ebsq. I search for the picture, put in my title, and it comes back, page cannot be displayed.
Can you help get my photos downloaded please.
Thank you,

Re: Ebsq down????

The site isn't down, but there's no question that things haven't been working the same way they did before the server migration. We've tried rebooting, and doing as much as we can on our end. We're working with the ISP now to see if they can help diagnose the problem, since it doesn't seem to be consistent.

All we can suggest is try uploading again, since as I said, it's nothing consistent that we can pinpoint, and I do know that others are having success uploading.

Hopefully we can figure out what happened to our machines during the move and rectify the current problems ASAP.

Hang in there; we're on the job!

Re: hi!

When you're worried about how your downtime and subsequent weird and as yet to be diagnosed unsolved issues are affecting 11k+ registered users for the site, let alone regular visitors, plus patrons to all of the places where people use us for image hosting, it's just a tiddly bit stressful, lol. But we're hoping to find the ghost in the machine and exorcise it ASAP so we can get back to the business of ART :)

Re: hi!

Just to let you all know, I have down loaded 2 pics this morning. And it was a little sluggish, but got them downloaded non the less. Seems now that everything is back working for me.

Re: hi!

Glad to hear it, Cricket, and sorry we couldn't get to your email sooner. If you're still getting error messages, could you cut and paste the actual messages so we can take a look at what's going on? We suspect you might be timing out, particularly if you're on dial-up.

(and we'll be reiterating this in our email to you as well)
