This month's EBSQ Live: The Art of Collage

hosted by EBSQ Self-Representing Artists and
Monday, February 21, 2005, at 9pm Eastern (6pm Pacific)

This month, Joanna Grant will introduce us to her world as a collage artist. For the past several years, her work has concentrated on taking materials that would otherwise
end up in our landfills and recycling it into collage art.
"The effect I am going for with my collage work is fun and funky. I refer to my work as "primitive" because my techniques and use of recycled materials often result in the finished product looking a bit rough or unrefined, which I think just adds to the interest and character of the individual piece."

Joanna Grant (aka Joanna Banana) lives on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.

This sounds like a lot of fun. I'm planning on being there. It was doing a piece of collage in eighth grade when the teacher was the first one to notice in my life that I have an eye for composition and design. So, I have a special place in my heart for collage.
