It's spring and you know you want to get outside...

EBSQ has just the thing for spring fever. This is 2008 - an even year, and that means the show calendar includes a plein air show. This year, the focus is on clouds so grab your gear, find the perfect spot and go to it. Make sure that the sky is at least 2/3 of you composition and enter before 11:59 PM EST on May 31st.

Online Art Exhibit:  Plein Air 2008: Clouds

Oh -  and don't forget, the Member's Choice Winner will receive all the funds in the Chipin.com account for that show. Anyone, regardless of membership, can put money into the kitty and any entry could take it all!

chip in

you know if everyone who is an ebsqart member would put just $1.00 into the kitty pot, do you realize how much of a wonderful first place that would be for the Members Choice Award, and I really think that a winner should only be able to win once every 3 months, so everyone could have a chance to win, there are alot of wonderful artists out there, including myself, and it would be GREAT to see them win $$$$$, $1.00 from the members, the artists, can you imagine, Wow, lot's of $$$ just for entering???? just my opinion.

Re: chip in

While I agree the potential for huge prizes would be amazing if every single member chipped in each month, I have to respectfully disagree about an artist being ineligible to win if s/he's won in the past three months. The member's choice awards are based on member votes, so it is your peer group that is favouring certain artists again and again. And that's because a lot of artists participate regularly and are doing consistently excellent work. Your idea could negatively impact both the quality of work and the level of participation if members were only eligible to win 4 of our 36 shows per year.

Re: chip in

You know I did not think about that, you are sooo right, but I do still agree with the pitch-in.
